Here is the map of our trip across Canada with all the places we stopped. A total of 5419km, 60+ hours of driving and miles of trees, rocks, lakes, grasslands and mountains. We were thrilled to finally see the natural beauty that so many visitors come for but also at times disappointed by the industry we saw encroaching on that beauty. Digging for oil in Saskatchewan, mining in the mountains of Alberta and deforestation in Northern Ontario were a few examples we witnessed. It is so important in a country this size for people to be aware of what is happening in their (vast) backyard; to be informed and prepared to speak up when industries step out of line.
