Day 4: Prawda Manitoba, 2325.3 km

Ontario-Manitoba border

Today we finally crossed the border into Manitoba.  We tried to camp at a few provincial parks but learned that all the provincial parks in the country are generally booked out 6 months in advance, which is of course a ridiculous system guaranteeing that a number of camp sites will not be filled because people may have their summer plans changed by weather, health or just about anything in 6 months time.  We found a reasonably priced private campsite down the road and picked a section of the campground that we had all to ourselves.  Having escaped the wrath of Lake Superior we got our first day of sun since the beginning of our trip and made a campfire.
