The Great Ocean Road

The Twelve Apostles

Our final week in Australia we spent touring the Great Ocean Road and bumming around Melbourne in a rented van.  The Great Ocean Road is the highway in New South Wales that follows the dramatic coastal cliffs from Geelong to Port Campbell.  There are many offshore rock formations including the Twelve Apostles and London Bridge, a natural arch formed by years of erosion.  The cliffs usually drop straight down into the ocean and near Port Campbell the landscape becomes a series of snaking peninsulas.
