Arriving in Cambodia

Cambodia is a country that, while little recognized by name, is universally known for two things; the inspiring architectural and cultural beauty of Angkor Wat and the recent tragic genocide of the Khmer Rouge.  Our first stop in this small but fascinating country is the village of Kep.  Kep is known for it’s tasty seafood and scenic, ocean-side views.  During the rule of the Khmer Rouge, this little town was flattened and has since rebuilt; the hollow shells of French villas can be seen dotting the surrounding countryside.  We thoroughly enjoyed and heaping plate of crab covered with fresh sprigs of Kampot pepper from the local seafood market.
